GIVING TUESDAY/Week of Dec 2nd 2024

Our mission from day one has been to make dance accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial circumstances. We’re proud to uphold this commitment through Dance & Company’s Scholarship Fund, supported by Owners Katie and Lisa, along with generous and anonymous donors.

We firmly believe that every child deserves a physical and emotional outlet. As a former scholarship student myself, dance played a pivotal role in my own upbringing. It gave me a sense of community, belonging, artistic expression, and was a vital outlet that shaped who I am. I owe a lot of who I am today to the scholarship opportunities I was offered growing up. These experiences inspired the creation and continuation of this program at Dance & Company, ensuring others have the same opportunities to grow through the arts.

Thank you for your generosity.

Dance & Company offers an anonymous scholarship program to families facing financial constraints, ensuring that dance lessons are accessible to all. Katie and Lisa firmly believe in inclusivity, drawing from their own experiences. Katie, once a scholarship recipient herself, and Lisa, who exchanged office work for Katie’s dance lessons at her local studio, understand the transformative impact such opportunities can have on one’s life.  We are committed to providing each dancer the opportunity to reach their potential to excel in the art of dance. We feel that in order to successfully fulfill this mission, it is our responsibility to find and create ways to support students/families who face financial barriers to furthering their dance education. Therefore, we have implemented a need-based scholarship program to selected students/families who demonstrate a financial need, as well as a passion for dance.

If you are (or have) a dancer who fits these criteria, please email us at [email protected].

If you are interested in sponsoring a dancer, please email [email protected].

We accept donations of all denominations and time frames (1 time, monthly, annually).

Help us share the joy of dance with our community.
